Wednesday!
This time we were in time for the school breakfast. Not too
bad! Definitely enjoyable. And I think this was the day where they had mashed
corn… and fried it! I know, super new idea. Pretty crazy. Too corny for me,
just saying. Haha, ehm… but still, breakfast was great- I may or may not have
snatched a yummy roll or two to go, and we went to our office.
Katie and I did our own things, but the internet was super
bad this week- intensely so. Katie’s was slow and mine just wasn’t behaving at
all. It was a little ridiculous, but we survived!
Eventually Katie went to teach her kids. Meanwhile I had a
few sneaky children come through for some fun, but I soon got them back to their
classes [hopefully] and then Katie was back for lunch! Which was not half as
awesome as breakfast was, unfortunately. Still, we filled our bellies, chilled
at home for a while, and then returned to the school!
Grade 3 Class 1 was super freaking insane. I still wasn’t
feeling great and I couldn’t get anyone to listen. I was repeatedly telling
them to sit down when the next teacher came in and stood there for a moment. Of
course the kids shut up and behaved. Not exactly fair, if I do say so myself.
She left soon afterwards and the kids mostly stayed in their seats after that.
I tried to teach while staying in the front, but the kids
seem to have a hard time with that, and are always climbing out of their chairs
to show me their books, ask questions, and so on.
There was dinner.
Grade 9, finally. Still a bit tired, I hadn’t come up with
very much for the class. Katie had a short presentation on sports, though, that
she ran through within ten minutes. I was in charge of the game and luckily
managed to put it together well enough to keep the kids entertained, mostly,
until we had a few minutes left and they watched a piece of Pirates of the
Caribbean. The kids are still coming in
slowly, dragging their feet, which is still frustrating.
Anyways- we called it a night, I had grabbed Modern Family
season 2 and a movie or two from lovely Abby so we watched some Modern Family
episodes before finally going to bed.
