12/4/13: Titanic and Transformers

A Wednesday, we were to eat breakfast at the school again. So I woke up at my alarm, still tired, and waited to listen to Katie. Who’s freaking stubborn and doesn’t accept surprises properly. We talked from bed eventually, deciding we should get up and go. So I started getting dressed and-

I think she was more weirded out at first, than surprised. Which works, right?

Yes, it was for her, and yes there was a little goodie wrapped in tissue paper [I had to set that on her bed because she didn’t seem to see it or got distracted because we were running a little behind], but anyways, she got chocolates and I got dressed! And then she got dressed, yay!

Luckily, we made it to breakfast just in time. We filled ourselves up on deliciousness.

Afterwards, I rested up and began catching up on Sherlock Holmes. And of course, listening to Dracula! Because it’s brilliant! And incredible! And then I cut out some snowflakes while Katie taught her lesson, and soon joined her for lunch.

Stuffed once again, we headed home for a few hours of peace, where I showered and we put of the tree on the wall with our ornaments, we called it adorable and cute and listened to Christmas music until it was time to return to the school.

Grade 3 Class 1 was a good bit hectic with kids running around, so we shut down the trivia and opened the books! That straightened things out a bit, except for their long faces. They didn’t like that much, haha, but it had to be done.

Then Katie taught her classes. And one of my girls, Barbie, ran in and gave me this adorable little stuffed elephant keychain thing! Super cute! Then she ran off, haha. Then some of Katie’s kids came In, trying to goof around and I shooed them out the door in her classroom direction. Oh and then another of my boys ran in and showed me his art book- very impressive- and I gave him a sticker because he’s just that cool.

Dinner happened, and then it was time for Transformers and Titanic with Grade 9! As usual, they trickled in about ten minutes late, which is a bit frustrating. Seriously, it’s pretty ridiculous- we’re working on that. So we put up five lines on the board for behavior, which is still decently effective, though not as amazing as the first time. We went through info on the movies, we did some trivia, and almost ran out of time but we let them watch a final video piece and called it good!

Katie and I grabbed hot drinks for the way home and called it a night!
