Thursday morning we had no obligations or anticipated
adventures, so… we ended up sitting around and looking at people on Facebook
all morning! Basically. That’s all. Well, after some serious sleeping in, which
really helped me feel much better… Lots of talking, laughing, and Facebook.
Eventually we wised up and got dressed, heading over to the school for lunch.
Again, not too awesome. But there were plenty of cuties on
the side, so we snatched up a ton of those, stuffed them in our pockets and
returned to the office to chill. We ended up watching more Modern Family
between teaching our lessons.
My first class, Grade 4, was going a little nuts. Desks have
been spread out and pushed a bit forward, so it ended up looking like my class
had doubled! I think I almost had nervous breakdown- I couldn’t take many more
students then. Setting up Turtle Talk with Crush with 100+ people was a ton
easier than trying to teach 9-year-olds. Fortunately, though, we continued my
Describe This slideshow and they enjoyed that a lot! There was a tie because
the class wasn’t too great, but I got them to sort out five more words and then
I ended up finding a short video for them.
Grade 3 Class 3 didn’t get a video that day because we ended
up being pretty busy with the slideshow and sorting through their English
books, and on top of it they were pretty nutty. I know they know the words ‘no
talking’ and ‘sit down’ but for some reason they just don’t care…
After we finished teaching, Katie and I decided we best not
do dinner but for the first time that week, finally, to hit up the town! Wow,
we seem like old farts… but I was sick, so that’s legit. Anyways, the bus took
forever to arrive- but eventually it did, and we even got seats! Thank goodness
because it was super PACKED.
We got off at the corner and got our usual dumplings- they
know our order! They’re awesome people! Yay! Afterwards, we grabbed our other
usual order for warm chocolate boba drinks and headed to the following bus
stop. It took a while to get home, but eventually we did and so we watched a
piece of Modern Family and soon went to bed!
