Katie had a morning class so she left the house while I was
still in pajamas. I spent the morning finishing ‘A Fault In Our Stars,’
cleaning a bit, and talking to my best online friend, Katie D! Which was
totally awesome, a freaking ton of fun. :D
After lunch with Katie at the school, I fiddled with some
more powerpoints and such, nothing too thrilling over all. Reviewing lessons,
reading, fiddling with more websites and just basically goofing off because I
didn’t really know what else to do.
Grade 3, my class of the day, was pretty odd. They were
quiet but a little loud, in a weird buzzing way- I can’t really even explain
it, though, any better than that. It was just odd. Good but not that great, but
not really bad although not nearly perfect? Anyways, we tried a logic puzzle
with ages and that definitely worked out mostly because I didn’t have an answer
sheet so I didn’t know the answers [I’m not the most logical person around?],
although I knew none of the kids had the right answer. Anyways, we found a
worksheet that was a bit easier for some words, and then they got a short DVD
piece at the end.
Nicole came by to say hi while Katie was off at her classes
and hey! She came to say we don’t have classes on Thursday! Everyone was taking
tests so we wouldn’t have to teach at all! Woohoo! I mean, we love the kids and
those were decent classes, but that’s kind of awesome!
Anyways, then we had dinner and started planning on our
international class. I started really putting things together for a fun lesson
about dogs but then about fifteen minutes before class started- Nicole said the
lights still weren’t working and class was cancelled! Which was super nice but
at the same time, we had already put in so much effort… so headed home!
We saw chubby Zack on our way out. Freaking adorable!
Anyways we got home, tried out Netflix to see if that would
work on our server… and it did! We found How I Met Your Mother and started
getting caught up on season 8! Woohoo!
Then Nicole came over after an episode or two, to fix up the
wifi because it wasn’t working like it should. Then she showed us all these
cool pictures of hers- something the Chinese really love to do with us with is
odd but a bit fun overall. And then we were telling her about Beihai and worked
on convincing her to come! And she might! Then we gave her cake and a little
card for being our awesome friend. She headed out and we finished a bit of
HIMYM before covering a plan for our free day tomorrow and crashed in our beds!
