Friday! Basically the weekend! Especially after yesterday
and all, it was almost four days off. We each only had one class of the day,
which were each of our good ones, so we had no worries at all! Eventually we
pulled ourselves up, found the internet being a buttface, and headed over to
the school.
Unfortunately, it sucked there, too. Luckily I had some
short stories by Salinger to read on my computer, so I did that while Katie
went and taught her class. Afterwards, I headed over to my Grade 5, and we got
started. It took a while to smooth everything out, plus it’s basically the
weekend, so it was just a fun word lesson- ‘pretty’ ‘awesome’ and ‘gross.’
Anyways, the head teacher stopped through to take pictures
and even video tape me, I think, on her phone, and of the class before
strolling out. It was pretty confusing and intimidating this time because it
was just on her phone and stuff, which was kinda odd, I don’t really know. But
I tried to keep things running and she eventually wandered out.
The kids got a bit crazy towards movie time, though they
always shush when I clap. It almost helps sometimes, but these kids are
definitely getting cocky! We’ll sort something out, I’m sure…
Class went pretty well, overall, and afterwards we headed to
lunch which was pretty tasty.
On our way to school we had noticed some swimsuits they had
switched out… and some were adorable… so ehm, we ended up buying them! I kid
you not, Katie had even incidentally looked at the time- but we loved them and
there was no place to try them on and the price was decent though we pulled off
ten for each of us [100 for 2 say what?], and we were walking away with new
cute swimsuits THREE MINUTES LATER. Three minutes! It’s insane!
But they’re cute, yay!
Soon after, we came back home, started laundry and got into
our pajamas! Through a miracle we ended up getting through to Netflix after
continual internet issues and started a real HIMYM marathon. Which was awesome!
We took short breaks, grabbed food, switched out laundry…
Then we ended up dressing up to go back to the school for
dinner. Katie didn’t even take a jacket, the weather was so nice! Twice as good
as yesterday. Green grass and flowers blooming- definitely hard to believe that
it’s November. It actually made me feel a lot like I was home!
Dinner wasn’t too bad, and then we headed out. We stopped by
the bakery- Katie tried some pea yogurt which yes, was incredibly nasty but she
did end up finishing the cup- I got some what looked like buttered bread but it
really was like honeyed or something and pretty good though one of them was a
bit stale- and then we headed back to our place.
Back into pajamas! And we wasted away the rest of the
beautiful day with HIMYM. We ate candy, oh and we bought some cake at the
bakery- we almost forgot about them but ended up getting to them- and finally
finished the season, woo!
It was so nice to relax for the day, as beautiful as it was.
Yesterday was a bit crazy for us, fun and stressful and so long- and tomorrow
we’re most likely spending the entire day with another family which’ll take a
lot out so it was nice to find a day to relax and cool out. And get cake and
swimsuits, too!
Overall, quite the successful day!
