Monday!
We headed out a bit earlier than usual, a little after ten,
to go around the street and check out the swimsuit shops! There’s about four of
them, so there’s definitely a good variety to select from. We walk past them all the time and some have
been shown as cute so we thought we might as well get one already, before they
close up shop or anything.
However, our taste was waning as we wandered around inside.
Most are pretty modest, and some are cute, though they’re not made especially
well and are mostly for looks. The average price is about 100 RMB which is
about 16 USD which is pretty darn great, and it’s talking about the whole set,
you know? But nothing really called out to us funnily enough, so we ended up
just dragging ourselves up to the school.
We switched things up for the week, and traded each other
our worst class. So on Monday I only ended up teaching one class. And after the
dull week, it was a pleasure to teach my kids! We goofed off just a little bit
before pulling up the school book and letting them work on quite the school
puzzle.
I went back to reading as Katie taught my class- I took her
in, made sure everything was okay, and my kids were actually behaving which was
silly- and did that until she was finished. Afterwards, we had dinner and
headed home.
We’d made an FHE sort of plan with Abby and Greg; it took a while to get together, but eventually we did a spiritual thought and watched the
Sixth Sense. First time I completely watched the movie. Haley Joel Osment was
freaking adorable, and yes those dead people still freak me out which is why I
don’t watch horror movies at all!
But yeah, that was fun over all. They brought snacks as
well, banana no-bakes and unsweetened but yummy coconut coco. It finished up a
bit late by the time they left, so we hurried to bed!
