What a peaceful Sunday it was!
Area conference, so Katie and I went to Abby and Greg’s
apartment to do just that. We huddled under blankets and listened to the talks
over skype for a few good hours. It was nice and quiet; we had General
Conference as well last week to enjoy and it almost felt like a good solid
Sunday for once!
Anyways, the four of us headed up for lunch after that. A
bit bland but I feel the weekend meals have definitely been improving some!
Afterwards Katie went to skype her family in the hall and I chilled out on the
computers for a short while, before we headed home.
We watched an episode of BBC Sherlock. We had bought these
dried package of green peas a while back and opened them- Katie had to stop
from gagging. Pretty sure that’s how they’re supposed to smell, too, which is a
bit worrisome. I managed to eat three but Katie barely handled one. Not too
thrilling or tasty, so we dumped those. But I bought some pumpkin candy which
was tasty, and Katie had more yogurt chews so it’s not like the bad taste lasted
long or anything you know?
So that was nice. Afterwards I read for a bit and Katie
pretended to die or boredom, I believe. Eventually it was about dinner time, so
we dressed back up and went to the school! We had one of my girls from Grade 5
come over and ask about Halloween.
Which is a bit worrisome, I feel like they’re expecting
something big or other, and we’re not too sure… I don’t know, it’s driving me
up the wall however, wondering if I’ve missed a memo or anything.
Anyways, she hugged us and wandered off, and so we had a
quick dinner before heading back.
I showered and shortly after we put Megamind on the
television. Then another episode of BBC’s Sherlock. And then we read scriptures
and went to bed! Definitely not too eventful and it’s kept Katie pretty bored.
We’re running out of ideas and definitely need to pick up ore hobbies than just
reading and Katie’s ukulele, that’s for sure. We need to find something to work
on and hopefully we’ll get that sorted out soon enough…
But overall, even through
the terrible chill, it was a lovely day!
